    Resistance temperature coefficient x 10-5/℃(20℃-600℃)<10
Thermovoltage to copper at 20℃ in μV/K-37
    Thermal expansion coefficient ×10-6/K(20℃-400℃)17.0
    Thermal conductance at 20℃ W/mK27
Specific heat capacity at 20℃ J/gK0.39

Some key features of CuNi30 include:

    • Excellent Corrosion Resistance in Salt Water
    • Good Strength and Ductility: The alloy has good strength and retains ductility even at very low temperatures, making it versatile for various engineering uses
    • Stable Processability
    • Resistance to Biofouling: CuNi30 has a high inherent resistance to biofouling, making it an ideal material for applications in marine environments where the growth of marine organisms can be a problem
    • High Resistance to Erosion: The addition of manganese and iron aids in enhancing the corrosion resistance of CuNi30, and it is particularly resistant to erosion, cavitation, and corrosion, especially in seawater
    • Weldability: CuNi30 is weldable, which is an important consideration for many engineering and construction applications.

    • Thermal Expansion

    Applications:

    1. Marine Applications: CuNi30 is extensively used in marine environments due to its excellent corrosion resistance in seawater. It is used for pipelines in shipbuilding, offshore oil and gas, and desalination plants.
    2. Submarine Industrial Base: Developed in partnership with Phillips Federal and Austal USA, CuNi30 is used for the U.S. Navy's submarine industrial base to alleviate the supply pressure of traditional castings and meet the goal of “2+1 Columbia and Virginia Class submarine platforms”.
    3. Desalination: CuNi30 is used in desalination plants for its resistance to seawater and other chloride-containing solutions.
    4. Heat Exchangers and Condensers: The alloy is used in the construction of heat exchangers and condensers, particularly in power stations and chemical industries where resistance to erosion and corrosion is crucial.
    5. Piping Systems: CuNi30 is utilized in piping systems, especially in environments where high corrosion resistance is required, such as in chemical and nuclear industries.
    6. Welding: IMPHY CuNi30 is used for welding of Copper-Nickel alloys and is useful for dissimilar welding of Nickel-Copper alloys to Copper-Nickel alloys. The weld metal has an excellent resistance to corrosion in sea water.
    7. Hydraulic Plant: CuNi30 is used in hydraulic plant applications, such as in the production of T and angle pieces for hydraulic systems in marine applications.
    8. Automobile and Aircraft Construction: CuNi30 is used in intercoolers, oil coolers, and honeycomb radiators in the automotive and aerospace industries.
    9. Brake Lines: Some automobile manufacturers use CuNi30 for corrosion-resistant tubes in automobile brake lines, and retrofit sets are available for various vehicle types.

These applications highlight the versatility and importance of CuNi30 in industries where corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and the ability to withstand harsh environments are critical.
